Drama and Performing Arts

Year 7

Students are introduced to Drama through games and short activities. They learn the importance of the four Cs – Communication, Cooperation, Craft and Confidence. The focus is very much on Performance and appreciation skills

Year 8

Students develop their creative skills whilst devising their own plays and investigating dramatic conventions such as tableau, thought tracking, slow motion, hot seating, role play, improvisation.

Year 9

Students study BTEC Performing Arts to gain 1 GCSE. This course covers Performance, Devising, Music, Drama and theatre crafts

Year 10
