Year 9 Food

Term 6

As of Term 6 all work will be set by your Food teacher through weekly assignments sent to you on Microsoft Teams. The work sent to you will have a PowerPoint lesson attached to it for you to read through.

You will need to:

  1. Read through the PowerPoint lesson and complete the tasks in your Term 6 Food booklet that was posted home to you.
  1. When you have completed the work you will need to photograph it and send it back to your subject teacher through Teams or by email. 

To upload your work on Teams, on the assignment click on ‘Add work’ and attach your photo.

Your subject teacher will then be able to offer you feedback.

Term 5 

  1. Read over each power point and then answer the questions at the end of the section.
  2. Write in full sentences and give as much information as possible.
  3. Once you have tried your best use the PowerPoints to mark your answers. Write the answers in another colour so you can see where the gaps in your knowledge are.
  4. Complete low stakes questions from lesson 2 power point onwards. Try to answer without re-reading previous power point. Self-mark in another colour.
  5. When you have completed each lesson please photograph your work and email the images to your subject teacher for feedback:

Food Home Learning Page Monday 23rd March - 16th April

  1. Students should complete all application and challenge tasks not yet completed from their T4 Knowledge Organiser. These are to be completed in your new lime green Home Learning book and will be checked on return to school. 
  2. Students should then revisit their terms 1 to 3 Knowledge Organisers to embed previous areas of weakness through quizzing and self-checking in their home learning book.

Year 9 – Food

Year 9 pupils need to read over one whole section from one of  the Power points of class notes. Then you should attempt to answer the related questions from the quizzes on the corresponding word document.

Look back over the notes and mark using a different colour. This will show you where the gaps in your knowledge are for future revision.
