This term in History you will be covering the key historical concept of significance through events that changed the world.

Two online lessons will be provided for you to complete independently. You will be scheduled to receive one live lesson a week.

To access Microsoft Teams, you should go to www.office.com and use your school email and password to log on. You can then use this on your web browser for free. This includes any Office products, including Word and PowerPoint.

  1. You should complete these lessons weekly in the exercise book you have been given.
  2. Where appropriate – give yourself marks and feedback (there will be information in the lessons to help you do this).
  3. You can upload your work or pictures of your work to Teams to receive feedback from your class teacher.
  4. Follow the guidance on the lessons about completing homework linked to your Term 5 KO.
  5. Your class teacher will begin holding live lessons for you; please make sure you are reading and checking your school emails to find out when this is.

If you have any questions or would like any of the work you have completed to be marked. Please email either myself of your class teacher.

Term 5

This term in History you will be covering the Holocaust. This is a topic that will require you to be thoughtful and sensitive about the content that is covered. You will often here statistics mentioned in regard to the Holocaust and these are important. However, we should not let statistics define the lives of a whole group of people. When you are learning about the Holocaust, I would like you to remember that you are learning about individuals; people who had lives, different cultures and traditions before, during and after the Holocaust for those who survived.

There has been a change in how you will access your lessons. Each week two lessons will be uploaded onto Microsoft Teams by your class teacher. These lessons have been designed so that you should only rarely, if ever, need resources outside of the PowerPoint.
