Kent Teacher of the Year Award After a challenging year let's recognise the tireless effort and support within the Education sector. Sometimes the exceptional work of individuals may seem to have gone unnoticed, so the Kent Teacher of the Year Award provides an opportunity to publicly recognise the hard work and thank them for all they do. We would appreciate your help in sharing these details to give an exceptional member of staff the recognition they deserve. Anyone can nominate and it's not only teachers who are recognised, these awards celebrate every role in schools. A panel of judges select winners from every district at the awards ceremony. IT ONLY TAKES A FEW SECONDS TO NOMINATE. Please visit www.kmcharityteam.co.uk/ktoty and complete the online form.
Merlin and friends would like to wish all The Malling School family a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.

FEARLESS WEEK – SAFER COMMUNITIES EVENT – 25th NOVEMBER At The Malling School, we have been working closely with other local schools and Kent Police to ensure that our students are safe and are educated about the potential issues they may face in the local community and wider society. To support the local community and the students within it, The Holmesdale School are hosting a parental engagement workshop on Thursday 25 November 2021. This will take place between 4.45pm and 8pm at The Holmesdale School. There will be several speakers discussing the issues surrounding young people today. There will be representatives from Fearless, Family Matters, 'Restore, Reform, Respect' and the St Giles Trust, as well as representatives from Kent Police. It is hoped that this workshop will provide parents in the community the opportunity to gain an understanding of the issues that young people face today, as well as educating parents on how to support their children as they grow through adolescence. The event is sure to be popular so you will need to book a space via The Holmesdale School office. Simply call (01634 240416) or email the school to book your place (email@example.com). If you are emailing, please ensure that your name, school, contact details and number of spaces required are provided. Yours truly, Paul Williams
