16 to 19 tuition fund

The 16 to 19 tuition fund is £96 million of one-off funding for the 2020 to 2021 academic year only. It is ring fenced funding for schools, colleges and all other 16 to 19 providers to mitigate the disruption to learning arising from coronavirus (COVID-19). This funding is being allocated in line with the Department for Education Guidance and is being used to support those students at The Malling School who did not achieve a grade 4 or above in GCSE English and/or maths.

Year 12 Maths

Extra- Curricular 1:1 Sessions for KS5 Vocational Programme students (ranging from once per week for students most disadvantaged, to once per term for others) After school Tutoring via Microsoft Teams (during school closures) with designated Teaching Assistants Functional Skills maths books for all students

Year 12 English

Extra- Curricular 1:1 Sessions for KS5 Vocational Programme students (ranging from twice per week for students most disadvantaged, to once per term for others) Additional after school lessons (Remote delivery during school closures). Small groups working with Teaching Assistant
